An unexpectedly hard shot by Baybars Geylani in the 14th minute of play forced ALAPLI SK's goalkeeper Aybar Rasih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buğrahan Selami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emran Yusuf having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, ALAPLI SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tuncay Karabey to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baybars Geylani made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kayhan İlkim during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Kayhan İlkim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rıdvan Yamaç's late challenge caught a Süleoglu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
