If Melih Helvacı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mecnun Saykal hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Aktuğ Aksun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kartal Kaygun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aktuğ Aksun in the 30th minute of play forced Bostanci's goalkeeper Kartal Kaygun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bostanci's Kartal Kaygun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aktuğ Aksun in the 31st minute of play. Umur Ağca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kartal Kaygun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. If Aktuğ Aksun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kartal Kaygun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umur Ağca, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, bağlama SK's Onuralp Ergümen got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 47th minute, Umur Ağca made a precise shot to the right of Kartal Kaygun. Bostanci's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After the first half bağlama SK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Merih Şinasi hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Nicolaus Deichmann struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Kartal Kaygun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for bağlama SK. Kartal Kaygun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aktuğ Aksun in the 70th minute. 74 minutes into the game, Merih Şinasi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Arslan Ülgener was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 81 minutes of play, Bostanci's Hadi Mutluay made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arslan Ülgener was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kartal Kaygun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aktuğ Aksun in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute, Merih Şinasi had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Melih Helvacı might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arslan Ülgener. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Melih Helvacı ran back to his position shaking his head. Melih Helvacı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Seyfi Osmanlı might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arslan Ülgener. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Seyfi Osmanlı ran back to his position shaking his head. Melih Helvacı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Arslan Ülgener tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, bağlama SK's Sümer Sidar got a free kick in the 97th minute.
