The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. İhsan Kapkin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Yunus Yesar made a huge save. Mehmet Bedri Behzat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Güvenç Tümerk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Mehmet Bedri Behzat in the 18th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 25th minute of the match Behiç Afak sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Güvenç Tümerk skillfully saved the ball. İhsan Kapkin struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Yunus Yesar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kastamonuspor. 33 minutes into the game, Mehmet Çağrı Bergin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kastamonuspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave gogihtihaticeçkmi the free kick. If Mehmet Bedri Behzat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, İhsan Kapkin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kastamonuspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but İhsan Kapkin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bedir Eryavuz was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Bedir Eryavuz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yunus Yesar came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kastamonuspor's Bedir Eryavuz. But to his dismay, Bedir Eryavuz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 60th minute, Ruhi Eyüpoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kastamonuspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Bedir Eryavuz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, gogihtihaticeçkmi's goal looked a bit too open when İhsan Kapkin came free, but Yunus Yesar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bedir Eryavuz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 78 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Yunus Yesar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. A collision led to gogihtihaticeçkmi getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Behiç Afak hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kastamonuspor's zone, Aras Görkem Egelioğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Güvenç Tümerk came out of the goal and Aras Görkem Egelioğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, gogihtihaticeçkmi's Mehmet Bedri Behzat dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 95th minute, Bedir Eryavuz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Mustafa Numan Ünsev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. gogihtihaticeçkmi's Rüstem Bayram couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kastamonuspor. For all the effort they put into the match, the gogihtihaticeçkmi players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kastamonuspor.
