In the 29th minute, Savaşer Öztunç reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sadettin Berksu. The goal made the score 1-0. 33 minutes into the game, one of AS Roma:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 41st minute, Hayrullah Uzsoy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Songurbey Bengi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 46th minute, Savaşer Öztunç got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hayrullah Uzsoy was the one to do the kick off. Songurbey Bengi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Halis Tuğtekin in the 53rd minute of play. Birkan Yalçıner charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Birkan Yalçıner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 55 minutes into the match, Dikilitas FC's Mehmet Halis Tuğtekin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Songurbey Bengi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 58 minutes, Mehmet Halis Tuğtekin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dikilitas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Halis Tuğtekin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hayrullah Uzsoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sadettin Berksu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feyyaz Suni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salih Şahinoğlu hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Savaşer Öztunç got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salih Şahinoğlu's late challenge caught a AS Roma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salih Şahinoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dikilitas FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Salih Şahinoğlu hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Birkan Yalçıner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Songurbey Bengi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hayrullah Uzsoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Mehmet Halis Tuğtekin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dikilitas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Halis Tuğtekin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Songurbey Bengi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th match minute, AS Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Savaşer Öztunç to maneuver through the defense. Mehmet Halis Tuğtekin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Songurbey Bengi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sadettin Berksu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birkan Yalçıner in the 98th minute of play. Dikilitas FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
