Hazım Gilşah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeynel Bakkalbaşı in the 10th minute of play. Tevfik İhtişam struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Hazım Gilşah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Akyazi JK. In the 16th match minute, Kocatepe JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fadıl Türköz to maneuver through the defense. Kocatepe JK's Hazım Gilşah proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Kocatepe JK from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute Ümit Tan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sadri Şabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Akın Kemal charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Akın Kemal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, Akın Kemal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Zeynel Bakkalbaşı kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hazım Gilşah. That made the score 2-0 in the 29 minute of play. 3-0 became the score in the 32nd minute when Zeynel Bakkalbaşı elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tevfik İhtişam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Hazım Gilşah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tevfik İhtişam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kocatepe JK's Hazım Gilşah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeynel Bakkalbaşı in the 44th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Tevfik İhtişam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hazım Gilşah. Kocatepe JK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tevfik İhtişam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zeynel Bakkalbaşı to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Zeynel Bakkalbaşı left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Akyazi JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kocatepe JK's goalkeeper Hazım Gilşah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mehdi Sağan was slow to take the kick. During this time Akyazi JK's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Akyazi JK's Zeynel Bakkalbaşı to a score. 7-0 in the 68th minute. The audience was convinced that Zeynel Bakkalbaşı's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hazım Gilşah was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kocatepe JK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Akyazi JK.
