Mustafa Numan Tümerdem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şevket Tümay having to interfere. The supporters of Aksoy booed when GÜRKAYNAK SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Nabi Sebil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Şevket Tümay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Behlül Ateş, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After 11 played minutes GÜRKAYNAK SK got a freekick which was hit by Aytekin Mertoğul. Mutlu Tümkan made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Halil Can Tayguner sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th minute of the match Nadir Seciye shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mutlu Tümkan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Behlül Ateş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şevket Tümay having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Sedat Elçin in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by GÜRKAYNAK SK's Ali Nabi Sebil. Şevket Tümay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Behlül Ateş went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Şevket Tümay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Behlül Ateş in the 30th minute of the match. If Behlül Ateş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40thth minute of the game Behlül Ateş who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aksoy's Şevket Tümay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th match minute, GÜRKAYNAK SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aytekin Mertoğul to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Behlül Ateş made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Behlül Ateş in the 51st minute of play forced Aksoy's goalkeeper Şevket Tümay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute, Şansal Enbiya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aytekin Mertoğul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Şevket Tümay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Behlül Ateş who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Şevket Tümay when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Meriç Öğüç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Behlül Ateş got free with Şevket Tümay in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Behlül Ateş's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Şevket Tümay was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Şevket Tümay acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ali Nabi Sebil. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Behlül Ateş in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şevket Tümay saved Aksoy from getting behind. GÜRKAYNAK SK made a substitution. Şerafettin Elmas replaced Behlül Ateş. After 80 played minutes GÜRKAYNAK SK got a freekick which was hit by Ali Nabi Sebil. In the 83rd minute of the match Nadir Seciye shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mutlu Tümkan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Aytekin Mertoğul got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. GÜRKAYNAK SK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
