Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hüseyin Turan Rafi kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Muammer Akşit got free with Hamit Kurhan in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14thth minute of the game Zikri Reşat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cihangir's İnanç Yatuk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mardin United's Hamit Kurhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Hamdi Hızlı in the 16th minute of play. İnanç Yatuk came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Mardin United's Zikri Reşat. But to his dismay, Zikri Reşat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Mardin United's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Hamdi Hızlı came free, but Hamit Kurhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Mardin United's Hamit Kurhan got control of the ball when Muammer Akşit tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mardin United's zone, Muammer Akşit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamit Kurhan came out of the goal and Muammer Akşit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cihangir booed when Mardin United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abidin Çelikel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamit Kurhan made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Muammer Akşit sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ahmet Hamdi Hızlı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cihangir's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Hamdi Hızlı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamit Kurhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmet Hamdi Hızlı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muammer Akşit might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hamit Kurhan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Muammer Akşit ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the match, Cihangir's Muammer Akşit sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hamit Kurhan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hamit Kurhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Hamdi Hızlı in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Mardin United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cihangir's İnanç Yatuk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Cihangir from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 58 in the game by Zikri Reşat from a close distance when the talented İnanç Yatuk managed to make a qualified save. Cihangir's players were relieved. If Hüseyin Turan Rafi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cihangir's İnanç Yatuk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Cihangir from getting a goal against them. İnanç Yatuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüseyin Turan Rafi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hüseyin Turan Rafi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 72nd minute. Mardin United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cihangir's İnanç Yatuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hüseyin Turan Rafi in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Hamdi Hızlı in the 87th minute of play forced Mardin United's goalkeeper Hamit Kurhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muammer Akşit's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hamit Kurhan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Cihangir's Muammer Akşit sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hamit Kurhan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Muammer Akşit might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hamit Kurhan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Muammer Akşit ran back to his position shaking his head. Mardin United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
