When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Niyazi Uğursoy sped through Hayrat SK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Poyraz Lütfullah. 41 minutes into the match, Hayrat SK's Nurtekin Uludoğan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sermet İğdemir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Nurtekin Uludoğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basbasi were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
