AYDIN SK's Gencay Özyurt got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to AYDIN SK getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Hakkı Haliloğlu hit a great ball. Barışcan Kutlug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sercan Sarı in the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AYDIN SK's Talat Tavil got a free kick in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bayhan Şanlı got free with Nurkan Hancı in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nurkan Hancı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gencay Özyurt, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Giuliano Cordone fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Izmirspor's protests and gave Giuliano Cordone a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Izmirspor getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Giuliano Cordone hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, AYDIN SK's goal looked a bit too open when Sercan Sarı came free, but Barışcan Kutlug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, AYDIN SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aybar Rekin to maneuver through the defense. Edoardo Fiordelisi charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edoardo Fiordelisi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Izmirspor booed when AYDIN SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakkı Haliloğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Arda Göksel Bilkan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Barışcan Kutlug was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 41st minute Giuliano Cordone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barışcan Kutlug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sercan Sarı to make the kick off. Barışcan Kutlug was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Giuliano Cordone showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play. Barışcan Kutlug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sercan Sarı in the 55th minute of play. In the 60th minute Sercan Sarı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barışcan Kutlug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barışcan Kutlug made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Giuliano Cordone sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Gencay Özyurt managed to get in a good position for a shot. AYDIN SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Gencay Özyurt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nurkan Hancı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the AYDIN SK defense, Giuliano Cordone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barışcan Kutlug. The AYDIN SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barışcan Kutlug should have stopped the shot. Nurkan Hancı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakkı Haliloğlu in the 79th minute of play. Sercan Sarı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barışcan Kutlug having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Giuliano Cordone made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. AYDIN SK's Barışcan Kutlug tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. AYDIN SK's Barışcan Kutlug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Reha Torehan in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute of the match, Giuliano Cordone got a very nice opportunity to score, but Barışcan Kutlug was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match was over Izmirspor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AYDIN SK throughout the match.
