Erzincan's Berkem Murathan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batıkan Sözmen in the 10th minute of play. Doruk Asya was shown his second yellow card after 12 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 13th match minute, Erzincan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doruk Asya to maneuver through the defense. When Aydemir Eskicioğlu came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Menderes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aydemir Eskicioğlu couldn't finish the play. Batıkan Sözmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berkem Murathan having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reşat Maksut during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Reşat Maksut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

With a little luck, Erzincan's Berkem Murathan got control of the ball when Batıkan Sözmen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zekeriya Yalın's late challenge caught a Menderes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zekeriya Yalın helped the player get up and apologised. 59 minutes into the match, Batıkan Sözmen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Berkem Murathan. After some careless play in the Erzincan defense, Batıkan Sözmen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berkem Murathan. The Erzincan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berkem Murathan should have stopped the shot. Batıkan Sözmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
