Muammer Şahap scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ahmet Efe Baştürk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ahmet Efe Baştürk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Muammer Şahap's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Güzelyurt's Muammer Şahap nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Efe Baştürk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 0-3 became the score in the 28th minute when Muammer Şahap elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cenan Önel during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Güzelyurt getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Cenan Önel hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Güzelyurt's goal looked a bit too open when Mete Cintay came free, but Abdulhamit Onatsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Muammer Şahap left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Güzelyurt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Abdulhamit Onatsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Cintay, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Muammer Şahap to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Akay Akyazıcıoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güzelyurt's supporters rose to their feet, but Akay Akyazıcıoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Efe Baştürk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Akay Akyazıcıoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Güzelyurt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Akay Akyazıcıoğlu couldn't finish the play. Akay Akyazıcıoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Efe Baştürk having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Muammer Şahap got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Muammer Şahap had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mehmet Bedri Onuktekin fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Derebucak FK's protests and gave Mehmet Bedri Onuktekin a yellow card for diving instead. 78 minutes into the game, Akay Akyazıcıoğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Ahmet Efe Baştürk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Mete Cintay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes Güzelyurt got a freekick which was hit by Muammer Şahap. After having played for 86 minutes, Ahmet Ali Gümüşcü managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Derebucak FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Ali Gümüşcü was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Akay Akyazıcıoğlu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Akay Akyazıcıoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ahmet Efe Baştürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Derebucak FK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Güzelyurt's performance. The match ended with a win for Güzelyurt.
