If Sami Behzat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute there was a penalty for Polatli. Kutay Kantara stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ferhat Vechi. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Şafak Erdem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alarmsan Kayseri SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Şafak Erdem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aktan İlsu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Polatli were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sami Behzat was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Şafak Erdem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aktan İlsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 played minutes Alarmsan Kayseri SK got a freekick which was hit by Celal Boğataş. Kutay Kantara was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Batu Cem Şenbay struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ferhat Vechi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Polatli. Şemsettin Cebe charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Şemsettin Cebe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Batu Cem Şenbay couldn't finish the play. Sami Behzat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Polatli walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
