Zekeriya Toycan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Necip Fazıl Gilşah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute Selim Samih shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aşır Saltuk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Hasan Önder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aşır Saltuk having to interfere. Deliktaş SK's Mesut Semavi got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Deliktaş SK booed when Gayrettepe JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serter Turay didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Gayrettepe JK's goal looked a bit too open when Mesut Semavi came free, but Aşır Saltuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Hasan Önder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mesut Semavi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Deliktaş SK's Ahmet Hasan Önder sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aşır Saltuk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Zekeriya Toycan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Necip Fazıl Gilşah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uğuralp Hiçyılmaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Gayrettepe JK's Mustafa Ekrem Vefa got a free kick in the 36th minute. Aşır Saltuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mesut Semavi in the 37th minute of play. Uğuralp Hiçyılmaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Necip Fazıl Gilşah having to interfere. If Uğuralp Hiçyılmaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mesut Semavi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deliktaş SK's Necip Fazıl Gilşah proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Deliktaş SK from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Zekeriya Toycan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gayrettepe JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Zekeriya Toycan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Necip Fazıl Gilşah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aşır Saltuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mesut Semavi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serter Turay kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to Deliktaş SK getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Mesut Semavi hit a great ball. Aşır Saltuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Hasan Önder in the 65th minute of the match. When Ahmet Hasan Önder came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Deliktaş SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Hasan Önder couldn't finish the play. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Deliktaş SK's goal looked a bit too open when Uğuralp Hiçyılmaz came free, but Necip Fazıl Gilşah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
