Sebati Murat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yağızalp Savtur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Moda's goal looked a bit too open when Sebati Murat came free, but Yağızalp Savtur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebati Murat received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yağızalp Savtur came out and tried to block the shot, but Sebati Murat slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 21st minute. If Sebati Murat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tahsin Ortun took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Atahan Tuğcu. Atahan Tuğcu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Barthez during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebati Murat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yağızalp Savtur having to make a save. 44 minutes into the match, Moda's goalkeeper Yağızalp Savtur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osman Nuri Uçar.
