In the 15th match minute, Taksim SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Orhan Acaröz to maneuver through the defense. Şenol Uçman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kemalettin Uzbay's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bünyamin Asıf firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Aras Görkem Bilgetürk got a free kick in the 40th minute. Bulut Tokyürek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rahmi Hallaç in the 42nd minute of the match. Borussia Dortmund's Bulut Tokyürek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rahmi Hallaç in the 43rd minute of play. When Mustafa Orhan Tekay fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taksim SK's protests and gave Mustafa Orhan Tekay a yellow card for diving instead. Kemalettin Uzbay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Bünyamin Asıf made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Şenol Uçman to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Şenol Uçman sped through Taksim SK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bünyamin Asıf. In the 79thth minute of the game Rahmi Hallaç who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borussia Dortmund's Bulut Tokyürek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şenol Uçman in the 81st minute of play forced Taksim SK's goalkeeper Bünyamin Asıf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
