An unexpectedly hard shot by Ziya Üner in the 5th minute of play forced Adiyaman's goalkeeper Enver Haznedaroğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Erkan Öksak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adiyaman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erkan Öksak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ata Hekim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enver Haznedaroğlu having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ata Hekim was the one to do the kick off. In the 77th minute Ata Hekim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enver Haznedaroğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Göynük's goalkeeper Hasan Taşel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Adiyaman fans cheered their team off the field, for while Göynük had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
