Abdulvahit İstanbullu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Halit Yalınç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Hüsamettin Güzir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Göztepe SK booed when Bozkurt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gürcan Sertel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bozkurt's zone, Şansal Uzsoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hüsamettin Güzir came out of the goal and Şansal Uzsoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alaaddin Kavaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Şansal Uzsoy sped through Bozkurt's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hüsamettin Güzir. Hüsamettin Güzir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naim Emektar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Alaaddin Kavaş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Bozkurt's Hüsamettin Güzir got control of the ball when Şansal Uzsoy tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Naim Emektar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doğaner Kılınç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mustafa Ekrem Acaröz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Naim Emektar made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şansal Uzsoy in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hüsamettin Güzir saved Bozkurt from getting behind. In the 56th match minute, Bozkurt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gazanfer Erbelgin to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Naim Emektar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bozkurt's Baha Başay got a free kick in the 64th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Göztepe SK's İsrafil Kutlu tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Naim Emektar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hüsamettin Güzir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bozkurt's Doğaner Kılınç suffered a concussion in the 70th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 70 minutes into the game, İsrafil Kutlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Göztepe SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bozkurt the free kick. After 72 played minutes, Bozkurt's Baha Başay shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mustafa Ekrem Acaröz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bozkurt reached it. Alaaddin Kavaş struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Mustafa Ekrem Acaröz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bozkurt. Muhammet İltemur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Ekrem Acaröz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Göztepe SK's Abdulvahit İstanbullu got a free kick in the 79th minute. Mustafa Ekrem Acaröz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Baha Başay. Naim Emektar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Hüsamettin Güzir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85thth minute of the game Naim Emektar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bozkurt's Hüsamettin Güzir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Şansal Uzsoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Hüsamettin Güzir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Naim Emektar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüsamettin Güzir having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdulvahit İstanbullu during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Göztepe SK's Abdulvahit İstanbullu got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Alaaddin Kavaş sped through Göztepe SK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mustafa Ekrem Acaröz. Göztepe SK were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
