GALATASARAY SK's Ali Erdem Zevahir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hafız Tayyip in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, GALATASARAY SK's Ali Erdem Zevahir got control of the ball when Seyit Kongurtay tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in GALATASARAY SK's zone, Hafız Tayyip stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Erdem Zevahir came out of the goal and Hafız Tayyip tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. İnanç Gümüşcüoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Recep Rafiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Seyit Kongurtay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute Hafız Tayyip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Erdem Zevahir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hafız Tayyip in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Erdem Zevahir saved GALATASARAY SK from getting behind. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Diski JK's goalkeeper İnanç Gümüşcüoğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Hafız Tayyip made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hafız Tayyip in the 54th minute of play forced GALATASARAY SK's goalkeeper Ali Erdem Zevahir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Erdem Zevahir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baki Ekber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GALATASARAY SK's Recep Rafiz suffered a sore thigh after 57 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Gencal Özkut's late challenge caught a GALATASARAY SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gencal Özkut helped the player get up and apologised. Seyit Kongurtay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ali Erdem Zevahir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Seyit Kongurtay came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Diski JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seyit Kongurtay couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Seyit Kongurtay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diski JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Seyit Kongurtay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Erdem Zevahir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hafız Tayyip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ali Erdem Zevahir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hafız Tayyip in the 75th minute of play. In the 77thth minute of the game Hafız Tayyip who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALATASARAY SK's Ali Erdem Zevahir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ahmet Harun Haspolatlı hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Ali Erdem Zevahir stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hafız Tayyip's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. A collision led to GALATASARAY SK getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ahmet Harun Haspolatlı hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Seyit Kongurtay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 87 minutes, Ahmet Harun Haspolatlı mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALATASARAY SK and the Diski JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ahmet Harun Haspolatlı kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Hafız Tayyip might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Erdem Zevahir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hafız Tayyip ran back to his position shaking his head. The Diski JK manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing GALATASARAY SK to win.
