The Devrek SK fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Devrek SK's Servet Hürmetli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. İSPİR FK's Sakut Uyarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Servet Hürmetli in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Servet Hürmetli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Devrek SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave İSPİR FK the free kick. Servet Hürmetli kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Sakut Uyarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zafer Özduran in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Devrek SK's goal looked a bit too open when Rıfat Özden came free, but Ahmet Hakan Yönet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Zafer Özduran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Devrek SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Zafer Özduran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sakut Uyarel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 23 minutes, Zafer Özduran made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. İSPİR FK's Sakut Uyarel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Gencal Vasif fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored İSPİR FK's protests and gave Gencal Vasif a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes İSPİR FK got a freekick which was hit by Gencal Vasif. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Servet Hürmetli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Devrek SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Servet Hürmetli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sakut Uyarel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 minutes, Arif Bilge Özerdinc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Devrek SK and the İSPİR FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Arif Bilge Özerdinc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the game, Devrek SK's Zafer Özduran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sakut Uyarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Zafer Özduran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 45th minute Zafer Özduran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakut Uyarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sakut Uyarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zafer Özduran, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rıfat Özden to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Zafer Özduran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sakut Uyarel. İSPİR FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zafer Özduran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The supporters of Devrek SK booed when İSPİR FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gencal Vasif didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute Rıfat Özden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Hakan Yönet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Servet Hürmetli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Devrek SK's Servet Hürmetli in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye İSPİR FK's goalie prevented a goal. When Rıfat Özden came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the İSPİR FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rıfat Özden couldn't finish the play. Arif Bilge Özerdinc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakut Uyarel having to interfere. Zafer Özduran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Servet Hürmetli in the 84th minute of play forced İSPİR FK's goalkeeper Sakut Uyarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 minutes of play İSPİR FK's Gencal Vasif was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gencal Vasif kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Zafer Özduran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakut Uyarel having to interfere. İSPİR FK's Sakut Uyarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save İSPİR FK from getting a goal against them. If Servet Hürmetli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Devrek SK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
