Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) sarıyerspor's Tanju Erkinay started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Burhan Özgunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The sarıyerspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 9th match minute, sarıyerspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Turan Başel to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Serhat Reşan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Burhan Özgunes got free with Halit Ziya Çağili in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ferid Sulasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Savaşer Uysal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zikri Orhan in the 28th minute of play. When Yetkiner Gezer fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OsmanSpor's protests and gave Yetkiner Gezer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Yetkiner Gezer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cumali Durcan charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cumali Durcan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes sarıyerspor got a freekick which was hit by Cumali Durcan. Cenap Musa hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 44 played minutes OsmanSpor got a freekick which was hit by Yetkiner Gezer.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zikri Orhan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by sarıyerspor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ahmet Hamdi Orhan was slow to take the kick. During this time OsmanSpor's players had a chance to rest. After having played for 63 minutes, Ferid Sulasi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OsmanSpor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferid Sulasi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 67 in the game by Zikri Orhan from a close distance when the talented Savaşer Uysal managed to make a qualified save. sarıyerspor's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batıray Yeğiner in the 70th minute of play forced OsmanSpor's goalkeeper Halit Ziya Çağili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to OsmanSpor getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Cenap Musa hit a great ball. If Ferid Sulasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halit Ziya Çağili came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by sarıyerspor's Tanju Erkinay. But to his dismay, Tanju Erkinay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
