The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Onuralp Tezel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ataol Yurdaşen, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Behzat Ademoğlu in the 6th minute of play forced Tarakli SK's goalkeeper Ataol Yurdaşen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anıl Arda Tutku in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ataol Yurdaşen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ali Behzat Ademoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ataol Yurdaşen having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anıl Arda Tutku got free with Ataol Yurdaşen in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tarakli SK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! Ataol Yurdaşen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Behzat Ademoğlu in the 18th minute of the match. Ataol Yurdaşen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Behzat Ademoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Tarakli SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Elazig:s goal. When the match had been going on for 29 minutes, Elazig's Ercüment Tanberk got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ataol Yurdaşen. Ulu Serhad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ataol Yurdaşen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Behzat Ademoğlu in the 39th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ali Behzat Ademoğlu to make the kick off. If Ali Behzat Ademoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anıl Arda Tutku in the 57th minute of play forced Tarakli SK's goalkeeper Ataol Yurdaşen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anıl Arda Tutku sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Anıl Arda Tutku managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elazig's supporters rose to their feet, but Anıl Arda Tutku was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
