The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Asım Hanedan in the 8th minute of play forced Best of Turkey's goalkeeper Selahaddin Sayhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Düzici's zone, Necati Yağızkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vahap İğdemir came out of the goal and Necati Yağızkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the game, Gencalp Kutalmış recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vahap İğdemir. Gencalp Kutalmış showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Vahap İğdemir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulaş Duman in the 21st minute. In the 24th play minute Ulaş Duman came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vahap İğdemir. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Necmettin Kaygun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Düzici's supporters rose to their feet, but Necmettin Kaygun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Selahaddin Sayhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, Necmettin Kaygun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Best of Turkey getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Enver Yalaza hit a great ball. If Necmettin Kaygun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Necmettin Kaygun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Selahaddin Sayhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Necmettin Kaygun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Selahaddin Sayhan. Best of Turkey's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Necmettin Kaygun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Asım Hanedan was the one to do the kick off. Best of Turkey's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
