The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mehmet Akif Tayguner during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th minute, one of Aslansaray:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aslansaray. Cebrail Hayal went to the wrong direction when Necdet Canfeda was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Cebrail Hayal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Talip Balkanlı in the 8th minute of the match. Kayacan Erensoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Terry Soudan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kayacan Erensoy ran back to his position shaking his head. Barbaros Karlukhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Terry Soudan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Barbaros Karlukhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aslansaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barbaros Karlukhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Necdet Canfeda got free with Cebrail Hayal in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Necdet Canfeda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Talip Balkanlı who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Cebrail Hayal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Necdet Canfeda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cebrail Hayal having to interfere. Talip Balkanlıs short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Cebrail Hayal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cebrail Hayal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Necdet Canfeda in the 37th minute. If Necdet Canfeda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Necdet Canfeda in the 44th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Talip Balkanlı in the 45th minute of play forced Aslansaray's goalkeeper Cebrail Hayal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 56th minute, Aslansaray's Barbaros Karlukhan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Terry Soudan. Terry Soudan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Cem Yazgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Terry Soudan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Ulaş Yalman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kayacan Erensoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barbaros Karlukhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Necdet Canfeda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cebrail Hayal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uğurcan İlkcan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Akköy JK getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Uğurcan İlkcan hit a great ball. The supporters of Aslansaray booed when Akköy JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Talip Balkanlı didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ediz Tanırer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cebrail Hayal having to interfere. Cebrail Hayal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Necdet Canfeda, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. If Talip Balkanlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Akköy JK lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
