Derya Humbaracıbaşı took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barlas Sedat. Barlas Sedat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Seçkin Ongar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barlas Sedat having to interfere. A collision led to Tekkeköy JK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ercüment Tunçhan hit a great ball. The corner ended in Alptuğ Tanırcan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tekkeköy JK's Barlas Sedat did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saadettin Kayıboylu during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Saadettin Kayıboylu kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match Vahdet Ökten sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ediz Tunç skillfully saved the ball. Derya Humbaracıbaşı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Barlas Sedat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valerian's supporters rose to their feet, but Seçkin Ongar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barlas Sedat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Seçkin Ongar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barlas Sedat having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Berk Tanver was the one to do the kick off. Baran Bilge Sunay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Barlas Sedat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valerian's Ediz Tunç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murathan Öksüzoğlu in the 55th minute of play. Derya Humbaracıbaşı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Barlas Sedat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baran Bilge Sunay helped the player get up and apologised. Ediz Tunç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berk Tanver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Derya Humbaracıbaşı's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Barlas Sedat firmly grabbed it by the left post. 77 minutes into the match, Tekkeköy JK's goalkeeper Barlas Sedat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Derya Humbaracıbaşı. If Derya Humbaracıbaşı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Berk Tanver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediz Tunç having to interfere. If Murathan Öksüzoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 87 minutes into the match, Valerian's goal looked a bit too open when Berk Tanver came free, but Ediz Tunç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Murathan Öksüzoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Tekkeköy JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murathan Öksüzoğlu couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Valerian's zone, Berk Tanver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ediz Tunç came out of the goal and Berk Tanver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Murathan Öksüzoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ediz Tunç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Valerian supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Valerian would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
