After 17 played minutes Elazig SK got a freekick which was hit by Arman Çağili. Cihangir SK's Kadir Şenaltan got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Elazig SK's Mehmet Halis Nursal in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Elazig SK's Lefter Bircanoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Galip Taşdan in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Elazig SK's Mahir Ergener got a free kick in the 30th minute. Kuddusî Orcaner scored 1-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lefter Bircanoğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36thth minute of the game Mehmet Halis Nursal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cihangir SK's Burhan Çelik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Galip Taşdan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cihangir SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Galip Taşdan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lefter Bircanoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lefter Bircanoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Galip Taşdan in the 40th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Mehmet Halis Nursal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Necmi Budun to strike the kick off in the second half. Cihangir SK's Burhan Çelik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Cihangir SK from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Necmi Budun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elazig SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Necmi Budun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Burhan Çelik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Necmi Budun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Burhan Çelik was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Cihangir SK's zone, Mehmet Halis Nursal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Burhan Çelik came out of the goal and Mehmet Halis Nursal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elazig SK's Lefter Bircanoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kuddusî Orcaner in the 66th minute of play. Kuddusî Orcaner struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Lefter Bircanoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cihangir SK. Mehmet Halis Nursal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burhan Çelik having to interfere. Necmi Budun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 played minutes Cihangir SK got a freekick which was hit by Eser Atılay.
