In the 17th minute Erkin Gencal suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 17 minutes into the game, Ahmet Çağrı Latif was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kusadasi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Göztepe FK the free kick. If Muhammet Özengin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. Muhammet Özengin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aktan Uğurlubey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Aktan Uğurlubey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhammet Özengin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Aktan Uğurlubey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhammet Özengin in the 35th minute of the match. Ahmet Çağrı Latif recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Abdi Mehmet Yıldıray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Göztepe FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdi Mehmet Yıldıray was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kunter Tecelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muhammet Özengin scored 0-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aktan Uğurlubey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Kusadasi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute, Yaser Polatkılıç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kusadasi's Yavuz Bülent Yağızalp couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Göztepe FK. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aziz Hürsev in the 56th minute of play forced Göztepe FK's goalkeeper Aktan Uğurlubey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muhammet Özengin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 57 minutes into the match, Göztepe FK's goalkeeper Aktan Uğurlubey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Muhammet Özengin. Aktan Uğurlubey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aziz Hürsev in the 60th minute of the match. With a little luck, Göztepe FK's Aktan Uğurlubey got control of the ball when Muhammet Özengin tried to sneak it across the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdi Mehmet Yıldıray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akın Ülgü having to interfere. Muhammet Özengin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Aktan Uğurlubey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Akın Ülgü took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdi Mehmet Yıldıray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kusadasi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! In the 90th match minute, Kusadasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruhi Akartuna to maneuver through the defense. After 96 played minutes Kusadasi got a freekick which was hit by Yavuz Bülent Yağızalp. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
