Nihat Umural might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erkan Sayman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nihat Umural ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 6th minute of the match, Bora Han Şanver got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ali Çağrı Müjdat was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Aybar Gündüz struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Erkan Sayman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Afyonkarahisar JK. 10 minutes into the match, YoungBoys's goal looked a bit too open when Nihat Umural came free, but Erkan Sayman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nihat Umural fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erkan Sayman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aras Görkem Mutlutekin in the 17th minute of play forced Afyonkarahisar JK's goalkeeper Ali Çağrı Müjdat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aras Görkem Mutlutekin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ali Çağrı Müjdat having to make a save. Aras Görkem Mutlutekin struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ali Çağrı Müjdat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for YoungBoys. Ali Çağrı Müjdat was a little too slow when Aras Görkem Mutlutekin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 37th minute Aras Görkem Mutlutekin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Çağrı Müjdat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Aras Görkem Mutlutekin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. YoungBoys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aras Görkem Mutlutekin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nihat Umural to strike the kick off in the second half. Erkan Sayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nihat Umural in the 55th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Afyonkarahisar JK's goal looked a bit too open when Aras Görkem Mutlutekin came free, but Ali Çağrı Müjdat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute YoungBoys were awarded a corner. Okanay Perviz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Okanay Perviz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Afyonkarahisar JK's Ali Çağrı Müjdat did a great save. In the 69th minute Bora Han Şanver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Çağrı Müjdat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aybar Gündüz scored 1-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erkan Sayman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nihat Umural kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Ali Çağrı Müjdat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aras Görkem Mutlutekin in the 75th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Aybar Gündüz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nihat Umural in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erkan Sayman saved YoungBoys from getting behind. Ali Çağrı Müjdat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aras Görkem Mutlutekin in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Duran Semavi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aysan Ersoy's late challenge caught a YoungBoys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aysan Ersoy helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of YoungBoys booed when Afyonkarahisar JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aysan Ersoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute Aras Görkem Mutlutekin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Çağrı Müjdat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aybar Gündüz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Artun İzmirli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Afyonkarahisar JK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
