Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Gaffar Yaren started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Mehmet Tokyüz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Semi Tahsin having to interfere. After 7 minutes, Ahmet Hasan Uluöz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yavru Kaplanlar and the Göztepe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ahmet Hasan Uluöz hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Okan Kutlar's late challenge caught a Göztepe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Okan Kutlar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Yavru Kaplanlar getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Okan Kutlar hit a great ball. Semi Tahsin came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Göztepe's Selçuk Uraza. But to his dismay, Selçuk Uraza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Tarkan Verim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asrın Budaklı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaffar Yaren in the 19th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Göztepe's Mehmet Tokyüz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Semi Tahsin. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. In the 25th match minute, Göztepe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabit Akbatur to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Ahmet Hasan Uluöz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute Behram Kaptan managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Semi Tahsin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Tokyüz in the 33rd minute of the match. Okan Kutlar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asrın Budaklı having to interfere. Atabey Ulus hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Semi Tahsin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Akil Uzay. 46 minutes into the match, Yavru Kaplanlar's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Tokyüz came free, but Semi Tahsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Göktuğ Baysu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehmet Tokyüz to make the kick off. Semi Tahsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selçuk Uraza, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Mehmet Tokyüz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Semi Tahsin having to interfere. Okan Kutlar was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Yavru Kaplanlar getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Okan Kutlar hit a great ball. Tarkan Verim hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Mehmet Tokyüz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 played minutes Yavru Kaplanlar got a freekick which was hit by Tarkan Verim. Semi Tahsin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Tokyüz in the 85th minute of the match. If Mehmet Tokyüz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yavru Kaplanlar's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
