Sami Ongunsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 9 minutes, Ant Tüzer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenerbahçe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ant Tüzer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rıdvan Mürsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sami Ongunsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Rıdvan Mürsel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sami Ongunsu in the 14th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sami Ongunsu in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rıdvan Mürsel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Fenerbahçe's Ant Tüzer in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Körfez's goalie prevented a goal. Ahmet Refik Yalazabey might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arif Nihat Resulhan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Refik Yalazabey ran back to his position shaking his head. Ant Tüzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rıdvan Mürsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ant Tüzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Körfez's goal looked a bit too open when Ant Tüzer came free, but Rıdvan Mürsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Ant Tüzer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenerbahçe's supporters rose to their feet, but Ant Tüzer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rıdvan Mürsel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43 played minutes Fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Alpay Yönet. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Refik Yalazabey got free with Arif Nihat Resulhan in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mehmet Emre Yenbu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sami Ongunsu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ant Tüzer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sami Ongunsu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Rıdvan Mürsel made a huge save. When Can Uyguner fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fenerbahçe's protests and gave Can Uyguner a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe's Can Uyguner got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 57 played minutes Körfez got a freekick which was hit by Baykal Tanyol. The supporters of Körfez booed when Fenerbahçe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasım Safer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 played minutes Körfez got a freekick which was hit by Mahmut Ceberut. A hard shot 72 in the game by Sami Ongunsu from a close distance when the talented Rıdvan Mürsel managed to make a qualified save. Körfez's players were relieved. Ant Tüzer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 81 minutes, Necati Üstünbay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Körfez and the Fenerbahçe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Necati Üstünbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ant Tüzer spun around in front of the goal 82 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Körfez's goal. A collision led to Körfez getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Fatih Bilginer hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Sami Ongunsu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Körfez's Rıdvan Mürsel. Rıdvan Mürsel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st minute, Ant Tüzer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rıdvan Mürsel. The goal made the score 0-2.
