With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sefa Mengüalp in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehmet Hakkı Baltaş saved Kayserispor FK from getting behind. Halit Fahri Özozan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kayserispor FK's Namık Kemal Kurceren got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sefa Urza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Aytunç Ünver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sefa Mengüalp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Hakkı Baltaş read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Evren Akdoğ was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kayserispor FK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty!
