The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Alpaslan Spor Klübü's Baha Önateş sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Halim Ergenç narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Baykal Suel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Korhan Palabıyık having to interfere. After 10 minutes, Kağan İplikçi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sinop and the Alpaslan Spor Klübü players grew even worse after the yellow card. Halim Ergenç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baha Önateş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Alpaslan Spor Klübü defense, Alperen Ziver kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Korhan Palabıyık. The Alpaslan Spor Klübü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Korhan Palabıyık should have stopped the shot. Korhan Palabıyık showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baykal Suel, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baha Önateş in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Halim Ergenç prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Kağan İplikçi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Korhan Palabıyık. That made the score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. Alperen Ziver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Boran Ongul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 3-0 became the score in the 57th minute when Baykal Suel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Baha Önateş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ali Haydar Altınkaya's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Halim Ergenç read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Sinop was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boran Ongul to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Bayındır Saik sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sinop's Halim Ergenç didn't even have to move. Halim Ergenç made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Ali Haydar Altınkaya sent off a good shot on target. 93 minutes into the match, Baha Önateş dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Halim Ergenç, 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sinop fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alpaslan Spor Klübü had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
