Sorin Deliman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Pardo in the 10th minute. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Santul FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Eugen Jurcuț hit a great ball. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Sorin Deliman in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sorin Deliman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santul FC's Sorin Deliman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Santul FC from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Eric Hrean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 28th minute of play forced Santul FC's goalkeeper Sorin Deliman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Santul FC's Maxim Lupoi got a free kick in the 31st minute. Sorin Deliman made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th match minute, Santul FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Scripcaru to maneuver through the defense. After 43 played minutes Santul FC got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Panaite. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Lupoi in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maxim Lupoi made a kick off. With his leg Jacobo Nores managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Santul FC's Maxim Lupoi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 52nd match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Prats to maneuver through the defense. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valeriu Panaite during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Santul FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Valeriu Panaite hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Santul FC's zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sorin Deliman came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Primitivo Escribano might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sorin Deliman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Primitivo Escribano ran back to his position shaking his head. 63 minutes into the game, Jaime Pardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Sorin Deliman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute, Luca Scripcaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute, Hector Covarrubias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Scripcaru in the 89th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 minutes of play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sorin Deliman was left in no man's land by his defense there! 96 minutes into the match, Santul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Sorin Deliman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paraguay's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
