The supporters of ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR booed when Espiye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Kadri Samih didn't get a good kick on the ball. Espiye's Gökcan Semir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yavuz Selim Gündeş in the 8th minute of play. Ahmet Kadri Samih hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Özal Kuddusi kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. When Yavuz Selim Gündeş came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yavuz Selim Gündeş couldn't finish the play. After having played for 19 minutes, Varol Taceddin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espiye's supporters crossed their fingers, but Varol Taceddin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Espiye defense, Yavuz Selim Gündeş kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gökcan Semir. The Espiye fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gökcan Semir should have stopped the shot. The supporters of ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR booed when Espiye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selman Hacılar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Abdi Saygın Aktaşlı sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Espiye's Gökcan Semir didn't even have to move. ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR's Göksun Orgunalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caner Topdemir in the 27th minute of play. Caner Topdemir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Varol Taceddin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Göksun Orgunalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yavuz Selim Gündeş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ahmet Efe Mithat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Necaettin Kabak in the 59th minute of play forced Espiye's goalkeeper Gökcan Semir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Yavuz Selim Gündeş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gökcan Semir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yavuz Selim Gündeş in the 74th minute of play. Gökcan Semir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Efe Mithat in the 81st minute. The supporters of ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR booed when Espiye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bayındır Mehmet Taravet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Efe Mithat might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gökcan Semir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee showed Bayındır Mehmet Taravet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Espiye's Bayındır Mehmet Taravet got a free kick in the 94th minute. The ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
