An unexpectedly hard shot by Bumin Orgun in the 7th minute of play forced Akatlar SK's goalkeeper Kasım Tüzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when GÜMÜSHANE SPOR's Bumin Orgun in the 9th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Kasım Tüzel was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Akatlar SK through an amazing save. Özal Ertuna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özkan Cantez in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Akatlar SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Sedat Erentürk to maneuver through the defense. Mehmet Osman Sanat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Özal Ertuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özkan Cantez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 33 minutes, Özkan Cantez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Akatlar SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Özkan Cantez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bilgin Tuğtaşı charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bilgin Tuğtaşı the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 played minutes GÜMÜSHANE SPOR got a freekick which was hit by Bilgin Tuğtaşı. Özal Ertuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nazım Rüştü in the 36th minute of the match. Mustafa Kemal Hızarcı kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Mehmet Osman Sanat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kasım Tüzel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nazım Rüştü was the one to do the kick off. If Özkan Cantez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akatlar SK's Özkan Cantez got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in GÜMÜSHANE SPOR's zone, Nazım Rüştü stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Özal Ertuna came out of the goal and Nazım Rüştü tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Nazım Rüştü made a precise shot to the right of Özal Ertuna. GÜMÜSHANE SPOR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Duman Özay's late challenge caught a GÜMÜSHANE SPOR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duman Özay helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Akatlar SK getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Duman Özay hit a great ball. Akatlar SK played a much better game than GÜMÜSHANE SPOR and deserved their victory. The GÜMÜSHANE SPOR players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
