Arda Göksel Ocakoğlu's late challenge caught a Merter SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arda Göksel Ocakoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Hüyük:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Merter SK:s goal. The referee gave Merter SK a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zülfikar İdrisoğlu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hüyük's Baturay Şahsuvar. 1-0. 26 minutes into the game, Ramazan Sabir cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Baturay Şahsuvar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Merter SK getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bulut Ergüden hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Hüyük's Bektaş Veli Tuğcu tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ferman Kutlutekin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hüyük's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferman Kutlutekin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kutay Özdamar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the game, Rıza Şenbay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merter SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hüyük the free kick. Rıza Şenbay hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Merter SK's Kılıçhan Azer got a free kick in the 41st minute. The supporters of Merter SK booed when Hüyük was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bayezit Akıncıbey didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bedri Adaş was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Ferman Kutlutekin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merter SK's Kutay Özdamar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Merter SK from getting a goal against them. In the 69thth minute of the game Güneş Şahdar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merter SK's Kutay Özdamar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ferman Kutlutekin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Kutay Özdamar made a huge save. During the 78th minute of the match Kılıçhan Azer completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kılıçhan Azer a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Hüyük's Bektaş Veli Tuğcu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Merter SK. Bulut Ergüden hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Güneş Şahdar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kutay Özdamar having to interfere. Kutay Özdamar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güneş Şahdar in the 91st minute of the match. When Ferman Kutlutekin came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Hüyük fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferman Kutlutekin couldn't finish the play. Merter SK's Kutay Özdamar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güneş Şahdar in the 94th minute of play. Merter SK's Kutay Özdamar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Merter SK from getting a goal against them. Ferman Kutlutekin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Kutay Özdamar made a huge save. The Merter SK players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
