Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Galatasaray's Ahmet Baki Usbay started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in MerzifonSpor's zone, Halit Ülkümen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Koray Dokuzoğlu came out of the goal and Halit Ülkümen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Halit Ülkümen took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Koray Dokuzoğlu. Koray Dokuzoğlu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peyami Hekimoğlu in the 14th minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Mevlüt Somer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Ertaç Haspolatlı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes, MerzifonSpor's Murat Selim Onural shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mevlüt Somer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MerzifonSpor reached it. After 17 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Gökhun Kırca. Halit Ülkümen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Baki Usbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koray Dokuzoğlu having to interfere. MerzifonSpor's Koray Dokuzoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save MerzifonSpor from getting a goal against them. If Peyami Hekimoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute Göksun Safa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mevlüt Somer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MerzifonSpor's Koray Dokuzoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Baki Usbay in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Hüsamettin Özel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mevlüt Somer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 42 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Peyami Hekimoğlu came free, but Mevlüt Somer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Peyami Hekimoğlu made the kick off in the second half. Mevlüt Somer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hüsamettin Özel in the 52nd minute. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Ruhi Üstün hit a great ball. Halit Ülkümen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Koray Dokuzoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Halit Ülkümen scored 2-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Koray Dokuzoğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Koray Dokuzoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Baki Usbay in the 74th minute of the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Peyami Hekimoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MerzifonSpor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peyami Hekimoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peyami Hekimoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Mevlüt Somer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, MerzifonSpor's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Baki Usbay came free, but Koray Dokuzoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Gökhun Kırca got a free kick in the 94th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
