But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Temel Semir couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Songur Işınsu in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sadettin Ateş prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tarsus's Sadettin Ateş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Temel Semir in the 11th minute of play. Yağız Derim kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes Dikmen SK got a freekick which was hit by Türkeş Samin. Temel Semir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sadettin Ateş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Güral Akkoç charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Güral Akkoç the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dikmen SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Temel Semir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sadettin Ateş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Selami Utman fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarsus's protests and gave Selami Utman a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Temel Semir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dikmen SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Temel Semir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sadettin Ateş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hüseyin Cahit Şerefhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yakut Çelikhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yakut Çelikhan made a kick off. Hüseyin Cahit Şerefhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Vefik Acabay's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. If Ahmet Vefik Acabay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 73 minutes of play, Dikmen SK's Songur Işınsu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sadettin Ateş was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Dikmen SK's Türkeş Samin got a free kick in the 77th minute. 84 minutes into the game, one of Dikmen SK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Ahmet Vefik Acabay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Dikmen SK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
