FK and the Niksar JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hami Kahya hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Erman Sonalp might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ahmet Vefik Urhan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erman Sonalp ran back to his position shaking his head. MERT Y.İ. FK's Ahmet Vefik Urhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aysan Akdoğ in the 7th minute of play. Battal Seyyit Algın's late challenge caught a Niksar JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Battal Seyyit Algın helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, MERT Y.İ. FK's Battal Seyyit Algın got a free kick in the 9th minute. MERT Y.İ. FK's Ahmet Vefik Urhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save MERT Y.İ. FK from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Bedri Tefhim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Erman Sonalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Niksar JK booed when MERT Y.İ. FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vecdet Yaltırak didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Başaran Dindar in the 22nd minute really tested Ahmet Vefik Urhan's skills. Başaran Dindar hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see MERT Y.İ. FK's Vecdet Yaltırak in action when he in the 27th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 31 minutes into the match, MERT Y.İ. FK's goalkeeper Ahmet Vefik Urhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erman Sonalp. If Aysan Akdoğ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, Aysan Akdoğ recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ahmet Vefik Urhan. Aysan Akdoğ showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Lütfullah Geçimoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bedri Tefhim in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aysan Akdoğ stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Aysan Akdoğ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Vefik Urhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MERT Y.İ. Ahmet Vefik Urhan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After a rather tough play, MERT Y.İ. FK's Recep Akçal got a free kick in the 78th minute. Aysan Akdoğ scored 4-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ahmet Vefik Urhan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Erman Sonalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Vefik Urhan having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Aysan Akdoğ got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. MERT Y.İ. FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
