Alkan Nevruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Hamdi Oncubay having to interfere. In the 15th minute Alkan Nevruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Hamdi Oncubay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes, Alemdar Kamer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gümüşhane Spor and the Genclerbirligi SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 23 minutes, Alkan Nevruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genclerbirligi SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alkan Nevruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cevher Afacan kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Gümüşhane Spor defense, Alkan Nevruz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Hamdi Oncubay. The Gümüşhane Spor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Hamdi Oncubay should have stopped the shot. When Alemdar Cansefa fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gümüşhane Spor's protests and gave Alemdar Cansefa a yellow card for diving instead. When Genclerbirligi SK's Mehmet Edip Karaalp in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gümüşhane Spor's goalie prevented a goal.

Genclerbirligi SK's Ahmet Efe Kudret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Nasir Bekiroğlu in the 55th minute of play. Gümüşhane Spor's Ahmet Hamdi Oncubay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Gümüşhane Spor from getting a goal against them. 66 minutes into the match, Genclerbirligi SK's goal looked a bit too open when Şehzade Ziverbey came free, but Ahmet Efe Kudret reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alemdar Cansefa hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Mehmet Edip Karaalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ahmet Hamdi Oncubay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alkan Nevruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77thth minute of the game Mehmet Edip Karaalp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gümüşhane Spor's Ahmet Hamdi Oncubay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ahmet Hamdi Oncubay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Edip Karaalp in the 80th minute of the match. Gümüşhane Spor's Ahmet Hamdi Oncubay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Edip Karaalp in the 82nd minute of play. In the 87th minute, Necat Tacal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Efe Kudret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Nasir Bekiroğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genclerbirligi SK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kandemir Yaltıray in the 97th minute. When the match was over Genclerbirligi SK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gümüşhane Spor throughout the match.
