Sahinbey JK's Ozan Burçak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atıf Coşan in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Sahinbey JK's Seyit Namık sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Özmen Cebeci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 49th minute of the match Orhan Ekabir sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ozan Burçak skillfully saved the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Seyit Namık stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Seyit Namık came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Sahinbey JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seyit Namık couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, İlhami Oğuzcan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sahinbey JK's supporters rose to their feet, but İlhami Oğuzcan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Özmen Cebeci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Sahinbey JK lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
