The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fazıl Hüsnü Energin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Karaman getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Necat Ergün hit a great ball. In the 5th minute Bayındır Mehmet Yunus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fazıl Hüsnü Energin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Tahtakale booed when Karaman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serkan Akçal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bayındır Mehmet Yunus struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Fazıl Hüsnü Energin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tahtakale. When Arif Buğra Bozlak fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karaman's protests and gave Arif Buğra Bozlak a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Karaman getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Arif Buğra Bozlak hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Çağatay Taze fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Bayındır Mehmet Yunus struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Fazıl Hüsnü Energin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tahtakale. Fazıl Hüsnü Energin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çağatay Taze in the 25th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Karaman:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tahtakale:s goal. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Tahtakale. Özmen Rızkullah stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fazıl Hüsnü Energin. 1-0. A collision led to Tahtakale getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Samim Taner hit a great ball. Selman Kaygun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Buğra Bozlak in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Çağatay Taze stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ali Nabi Kutyan hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tahtakale's zone, Arif Buğra Bozlak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Selman Kaygun came out of the goal and Arif Buğra Bozlak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Çağatay Taze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mirkelam Öztürk fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karaman's protests and gave Mirkelam Öztürk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Karaman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mirkelam Öztürk to maneuver through the defense. Çağatay Taze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fazıl Hüsnü Energin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bayındır Mehmet Yunus went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the match, Karaman's goal looked a bit too open when Çağatay Taze came free, but Fazıl Hüsnü Energin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 71 minutes, Ali Nabi Kutyan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tahtakale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Nabi Kutyan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erkan İstanbul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selman Kaygun having to interfere. When Çağatay Taze came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Tahtakale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Çağatay Taze couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tahtakale fully deserved thier win.
