Ahmet Erdem Toygun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hacı Ali Kadim in the 8th minute of play. Atay Mansur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halit Sayıl having to interfere. Beşir Ünlüsoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Halit Sayıl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atay Mansur in the 13th minute of play forced Kabatas JK's goalkeeper Halit Sayıl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Atay Mansur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giresun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atay Mansur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 19 minutes, Aykan Ergünay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kabatas JK and the Giresun players grew even worse after the yellow card. Giresun's Ahmet Erdem Toygun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hacı Ali Kadim in the 22nd minute of play. Beşir Ünlüsoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Halit Sayıl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atay Mansur scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Halit Sayıl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Bekir Yergin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Halit Sayıl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hızır Periz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the game, Hacı Ali Kadim lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Ahmet Erdem Toygun. Atay Mansur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halit Sayıl having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 56th minute of the match, Atay Mansur tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Halit Sayıl saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Halit Sayıl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atay Mansur, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Atay Mansur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halit Sayıl having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tansel Talaykut in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Erdem Toygun saved Giresun from getting behind. A collision led to Giresun getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ahmet Nedim Eröz hit a great ball. In the 67th match minute, Kabatas JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tansel Talaykut to maneuver through the defense. Halit Sayıl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atay Mansur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Atay Mansur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halit Sayıl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tansel Talaykut in the 75th minute of play forced Giresun's goalkeeper Ahmet Erdem Toygun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atay Mansur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Atay Mansur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Halit Sayıl was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Halit Sayıl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atay Mansur in the 86th minute of the match. If Atay Mansur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Giresun left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kabatas JK.
