Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sacit Vefi started the match with the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Kandilli:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Giresun:s goal. Kandilli:s Nadir Şemseddin showed great skill when he stopped Yiğit Can Akadlı:s penalty. 7 minutes into the match, Atay Mansur dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nadir Şemseddin, 1-0. Atay Mansur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nadir Şemseddin having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Giresun got a freekick which was hit by Yiğit Can Akadlı. Mustafa Barış Taştekin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ahmet Erdem Toygun. Giresun's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Beşir Ünlüsoy charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beşir Ünlüsoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 16 minutes into the game, Ahmet Vefik Ergüden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kandilli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Giresun the free kick. In the 16th minute, Ahmet Vefik Ergüden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Celalettin Turatekin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Erdem Toygun was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The supporters of Kandilli booed when Giresun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bekir Yergin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Celalettin Turatekin came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Kandilli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celalettin Turatekin couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute, Celalettin Turatekin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Kandilli's goal looked a bit too open when Atay Mansur came free, but Nadir Şemseddin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atay Mansur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Beşir Ünlüsoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Celalettin Turatekin struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Ahmet Erdem Toygun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kandilli. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sacit Vefi in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Erdem Toygun saved Giresun from getting behind. Beşir Ünlüsoy kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Celalettin Turatekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Giresun booed when Kandilli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aydemir Işınay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aydemir Işınay hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Yiğit Can Akadlı took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nadir Şemseddin. Kandilli's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nadir Şemseddin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atay Mansur in the 70th minute of the match. Ahmet Erdem Toygun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sacit Vefi in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Giresun's zone, Celalettin Turatekin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Erdem Toygun came out of the goal and Celalettin Turatekin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celalettin Turatekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Erdem Toygun having to interfere. Atay Mansur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giresun's Ahmet Erdem Toygun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sacit Vefi in the 91st minute of play. If Celalettin Turatekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Sacit Vefi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giresun's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
