A collision led to Beşiktaş JK getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Mürsel Otaç hit a great ball. With a little luck, Beşiktaş JK's Bektaş Akalın got control of the ball when Alphan Tufan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bektaş Akalın made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Vahit Akbatu sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the match, Vahit Akbatu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bektaş Akalın, 1-0. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ergincan Ergintuğ made in the 29th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ayhan Ulus however managed to control. After having played for 34 minutes, Hernández Corel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kazan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernández Corel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Silvestre Avellaneda came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Kazan fans jumped to their feet. Vahit Akbatu scored 2-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bektaş Akalın, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Kazan's Hernández Corel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bektaş Akalın. That made the score 3-0 after 41 minutes of play. Vahit Akbatu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Bektaş Akalın made a huge save. 48 minutes in the game, Vahit Akbatu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bektaş Akalın having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ayhan Ulus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vahit Akbatu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bektaş Akalın having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Vahit Akbatu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kazan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Vahit Akbatu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kazan's supporters rose to their feet, but Vahit Akbatu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bektaş Akalın breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
