If Ahmet Fikret Çelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Gölbasi's Işık Suer got control of the ball when Ahmet Fikret Çelen tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Devlet Öktüre notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Yesilköy's Muhittin Serkan. Muhittin Serkan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakkı Deniz Kurboga in the 20th minute of play forced Yesilköy's goalkeeper Muhittin Serkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gencer Yurtsever fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yesilköy's protests and gave Gencer Yurtsever a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Yesilköy getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gencer Yurtsever hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Devlet Öktüre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gölbasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Devlet Öktüre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Muhittin Serkan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hakkı Deniz Kurboga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakkı Deniz Kurboga in the 29th minute of play forced Yesilköy's goalkeeper Muhittin Serkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Sancarbey Elçioğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Muhittin Serkan. Yesilköy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sancarbey Elçioğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 45th match minute, Gölbasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sancarbey Elçioğlu to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
If Mauro Lonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Necmettin Onuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hakkı Deniz Kurboga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Muhittin Serkan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Ahmet Fikret Çelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hakkı Deniz Kurboga came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Gölbasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hakkı Deniz Kurboga couldn't finish the play. Muhittin Serkan made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Tolgahan Ünsan sent off a good shot on target. Yesilköy's Mehmet Fatih Metiner got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gölbasi walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
