The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sermet Barbaros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Rıfat Birsel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. İbrahim Perkel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kutalp Altınkaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Kamuran Nesefi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rıfat Birsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kutalp Altınkaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kutalp Altınkaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rıfat Birsel was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Kamuran Nesefi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kamuran Nesefi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, CoSMoPoLiTaN's goal looked a bit too open when Kamuran Nesefi came free, but Rıfat Birsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akören SK's İbrahim Perkel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kutalp Altınkaya in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Akören SK's zone, Abdullah Oran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İbrahim Perkel came out of the goal and Abdullah Oran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. İbrahim Perkel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdullah Oran in the 34th minute of play. Rıfat Birsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kamuran Nesefi, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Kamuran Nesefi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rıfat Birsel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rıfat Birsel was a little too slow when Kamuran Nesefi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Kutalp Altınkaya made the kick off in the second half. Rıfat Birsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sermet Barbaros, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamuran Nesefi in the 57th minute of play forced CoSMoPoLiTaN's goalkeeper Rıfat Birsel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When CoSMoPoLiTaN's Kutalp Altınkaya in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Akören SK's goalie prevented a goal. Abdullah Oran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but İbrahim Perkel made a huge save. CoSMoPoLiTaN's Kutalp Altınkaya got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kutalp Altınkaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Battal Gazi İlyas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, CoSMoPoLiTaN's goal looked a bit too open when Kamuran Nesefi came free, but Rıfat Birsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rdth minute of the game Kamuran Nesefi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CoSMoPoLiTaN's Rıfat Birsel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sermet Barbaros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rıfat Birsel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CoSMoPoLiTaN's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
