Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Mersin's zone, Gürbüz Atacan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulaş Özdemir came out of the goal and Gürbüz Atacan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gürbüz Atacan came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Cay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gürbüz Atacan couldn't finish the play. After 16 played minutes Mersin got a freekick which was hit by Zeki Akbey. In the 17th minute, Cay's Gürbüz Atacan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ulaş Özdemir. Ulaş Özdemir yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 20th minute Gürbüz Atacan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulaş Özdemir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mersin getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Yahya Özarı hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Mersin's Celalettin Günsel got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Mithat Oksay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulaş Özdemir having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Cay's Müfit Altınpınar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Müfit Altınpınar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cay protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Müfit Altınpınar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 57th minute, one of Cay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cay. 2-2 came through a penalty shot after 60 played minutes, when Mersin:s Alpay Fazilet calmly waited for Cay:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celalettin Günsel in the 65th minute of play forced Cay's goalkeeper Faik Özerol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mithat Oksay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Mersin's Celalettin Günsel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Faik Özerol. That made the score 2-3 after 70 minutes of play. Faik Özerol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celalettin Günsel in the 74th minute of the match. If Hüseyin Can Neşat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Abidin Erşahin made a precise shot to the right of Ulaş Özdemir. Mersin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Kağan Şakib hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Celalettin Günsel might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faik Özerol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celalettin Günsel ran back to his position shaking his head. Hüseyin Can Neşat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Faik Özerol having to make a save. Zeki Akbey was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 98th minute. Mersin's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hüseyin Can Neşat got free with Faik Özerol in the 100th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
