Sufi Gökkuşağı started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Fenerbahçe booed when Şenyuvaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şenyuvaspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emirhan Onural was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duman Çağnur charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duman Çağnur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fenerbahçe getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Duman Çağnur hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mecnun Çağar made a kick off. Sarper Temizer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sufi Gökkuşağı in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of Fenerbahçe booed when Şenyuvaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mecnun Çağar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yücel Usbay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sarper Temizer. Şenyuvaspor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emirhan Onural fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tansu Tonguç having to interfere. Şenyuvaspor were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
