Namık Payam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yahya Bağcıoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adnan Paksu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute Adnan Paksu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yahya Bağcıoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aykan Olcay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Namık Payam in the 19th minute. With a little luck, Cankaya SK's Aykan Olcay got control of the ball when Namık Payam tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yahya Bağcıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naim Vecih in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naim Vecih in the 26th minute of play forced Develi FK's goalkeeper Yahya Bağcıoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aykan Olcay came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Develi FK's Selahaddin Safer. But to his dismay, Selahaddin Safer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ahmet Ömür İpek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Aykan Olcay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Selahaddin Safer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aykan Olcay having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Cankaya SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mansur Şenaltan to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ahmet Ömür İpek to strike the kick off in the second half. Selahaddin Safer charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Selahaddin Safer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Selahaddin Safer hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mansur Şenaltan during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Cankaya SK got a freekick which was hit by Mansur Şenaltan. 59 minutes into the match, Cankaya SK's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Ceyhan Pamirhan came free, but Aykan Olcay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
