Yiğit Can İnciroğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute Behiç Bengialp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oğuzhan Ünsan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reşit Eraksan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oğuzhan Ünsan having to interfere. Kuddusî Eryetiş's late challenge caught a Kekova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kuddusî Eryetiş helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Saphane SK's Kuddusî Eryetiş got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 18th minute Behiç Bengialp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oğuzhan Ünsan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Saphane SK defense, Mustafa İnan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Galip Yenisey. The Saphane SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Galip Yenisey should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute of the match Özen Necati shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oğuzhan Ünsan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Galip Yenisey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yiğit Can İnciroğlu in the 26th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Saphane SK's Reşit Eraksan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oğuzhan Ünsan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Kekova's goal looked a bit too open when Behiç Bengialp came free, but Oğuzhan Ünsan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kekova's Oğuzhan Ünsan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reşit Eraksan in the 39th minute of play. After 45 played minutes, Kekova's Vehdi Sorgun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Galip Yenisey came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kekova reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Behiç Bengialp to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Kekova got a freekick which was hit by Eralp İnciroğlu. 52 minutes into the match, Kekova's goal looked a bit too open when Gökhan Keçecioğlu came free, but Oğuzhan Ünsan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Behiç Bengialp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saphane SK's Kuddusî Eryetiş got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute. The referee ordered Kuddusî Eryetiş off the ground. In the 73rd match minute, Saphane SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuddusî Eryetiş to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Yiğit Can İnciroğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Galip Yenisey was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Atilla Bumin Eker hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Mustafa İnan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galip Yenisey having to interfere. Saphane SK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
